Bad Blogger

So guys…I’ve been a very bad blogger in that I haven’t been taking pictures of anything. Or eating anything remotely interesting.

This morning, I had  Harry and David pear. Image(Old picture…cheating but we’ll go with it).

I also wanted some protein, so I whipped up some egg whites in the microwave, and topped them with a lot of avocado. There was probably more avocado than egg, not that I’m complaining!ImageThis was one of those mornings where I throw a ton of stuff together in a hurry in an attempt to not be late for class…

Lunch is unpictured, as it was not really according to plan. After my 9am class, I had planned to go to the library, but I was SUPER sleepy so I headed back to my room for a nap instead. I ended up finishing off my sunflower seed butter jar with yogurt and a banana, and some carrots. Plus a Harry and David Orange! So not very photographable. Also, I made a major life choice today-I’m not going to open a new sunflower seed butter for a while. It’s time for a break!

Dinner was semi-exciting. I went to a different dining hall, and they had a baked potato bar! I loaded mine up with butter, cheese, and scallions, although it is hard to see under the salad. ImageIn the front is some type of veggie with some type of non-meat tofu-like product. In the back is some couscous with roasted mushrooms. I also had a slice of cinnamon bread (so good!).

So as you can see, not a lot of excitement going on in the food front. Or in life. What stinks about having such a great weekend is that the week seriously pales in comparison. I hadn’t really been bored with my weekdays at all until this week. And now, the week. is. dragging. I can’t wait for the weekend! I am going rafting on Sunday with my dorm, and I have a million and two friends from high school who want to stay with me this weekend (but I have a chem midterm next week, so I don’t know if that will be able to happen). I don’t think I’m ready for the year to be over!

On the plus side, my workouts have been quite good lately, if I do say so myself. They’ve been a little more varied than normal, as in they haven’t JUST been weights, or JUST rowing. Yesterday, I lifted in the morning. I was annoyed because I wanted to do cleans, and the rugby team was taking up most of the bars, so I took some time to do a circuit with pistols and pushups, and then some dumbbell snatches. When a bar opened up, I jumped at the opportunity and did this workout:

10-8-6-4-2

Hang clean (95#)

Box jumps

Technically, I was supposed to do the whole circuit twice, but my wrists were DONE after this. And dropping the bar on myself=not good. I followed this up with some work on the rowing machine…I believe I did 2k. Yeah, my shoulders were seriously feeling the cleans!

Here’s an ab workout I have been loving lately! I’ve been doing it most days with my workouts.Image(The wrestler move is lying down with your legs in butterfly, and then pressing yourself into a crunch with your elbows.)

In the afternoon, I went for a 3.7 mile run with a girl from my sorority. She is interested in running together regularly, and wants to do a half this summer as well. Yay for more training buddies!

This morning I went to a Spin class, and then this afternoon I decided to do a rowing workout. I’m getting inspired to get back on the erg more. In some strange way, I miss those marathon workouts. I definitely have trouble motivating myself to go all that fast though. I could never do a 6k on my own. Today, I did a pyramid:

250 m

500m

1000m

2000m

1000m

500m

250m

I took a minute or two of rest in between. I followed that up with that abs workout above, and a few other moves. Back in my room, I saw all the balloons still here from my Big, and was inspired. ImageI did some crunches with a ballon under my lower back, which was super hard! But then the inevitable happened…the ballon popped. Eh, what can you do, right??

One more thing, I have posted about the concept of Healthy Living College Blogger retreat…if you guys are interested, could you publicize the idea on your blogs as well? The more the word is out, the better! I think we could totally do this thing!

Happy Pants

First of all, let me just say, I am so jealous of everyone going on the BLEND retreat this weekend! Beth from Mangoes and Miles had the great idea of trying to put together a retreat for college bloggers. How awesome would that be??

My morning began with a quick workout- 3 sets of stairs. Each set- single leg hops (each leg), squat jumps, 2 sprints, and 25 (ea) scissor kicks. Then I followed that with 4k on the rowing machine.

I tried to finish my workout a little bit early so I had time for a photo shoot for my pear. Food blogging at its finest. Image

This is one of my birthday pears from Harry and David! Harry and David has the best pears ever. Sweet, juicy, and the perfect firmness. I seriously can’t eat any other pears.

Guess what? My duct tape solutions to my bike’s woes actually worked. My brake works fine and my basket stays in place. ImageImage

Pshhh who needs to go to the bike shop?

A couple of shots from last night?

ImageI

I do not like being locked out. Thank you car key lanyard for looking exactly like room key lanyard.

Image

I had to walk to the library last night because my bike key is attached to my room key…which was in my locked room. But at least I got a nice picture!

Image

My Big is seriously awesome. How great is this? 2 of those pictures are Lilly. Can you find them?

So this morning, my flowers all of the sudden looked….really really bad.

Image

This thing drinks like crazy, I even watered it yesterday! I swear I’m not a bad plant mama!

Today was such a nice day. I got to pretend to be on the quidditch team and ended up with a free Ike’s sandwich. If you aren’t from CA, you probably don’t know what Ike’s is. If you are from this area, you are incredibly jealous. It was veggie with garlic and pesto!

Image

And since we’re on the topic of food…

Guacamole complements of my Big. She gave me the MOST PERFECT avocados, and since I have guacamole mix, this whipped up to be a great snack!Image

The other half was used for dinner on my egg scramble with pesto.

Image

See how much better the flowers look already?? Phew.

Now let’s get to the meat of the post. Today in Psych, we had a lecture on the Psychology of Health. Did you know that when you are stressed, you are way more likely to get colds? Ok, you probably knew that. But there are tons of other interesting studies. Apparently, you get sick more when you’re lonely as well. What I don’t get is how the researchers got the approval to administer the cold virus to tons of people…I would not want to participate in that study! Anyways, when you are stressed out, it is as if your body is in a continual fight or flight response. Cortisol has signals for the cells in your immune system that kill them off. Basically, your body focuses on the fight or flight issue, and conserves energy by shutting down your immune system. Yep, sounds about how I got Mono. Crew 5 hours a day, no sleep, and no clue what was going on? Yeah.

We also talked about the amazing benefits of exercise. Exercise can significantly reduce depression and anxiety. It has been shown to work as well at alleviating clinical depression as anti-depressants. How cool is that? This whole lecture got me thinking. What stresses me out? What is valuable to me? What makes me unhappy?

I realized, I exercise most days. I do hard exercise. That is awesome. I need to appreciate myself more, and what my body can do for me. I need to appreciate the world more. I feel like this past week I’ve really had my head in the clouds. I do feel like I got quite a bit of schoolwork done, but not a lot in terms of social interactions (which are SUPER important). And although it was technically a good week, it was just kind of blah.

The takeaway? I am trying to look at everything with a super positive light. I want to experience things more, and stop being concerned by the things that really don’t matter that much in terms of everything else.

I have some fitness goals that I set for myself. I had a reward planned for each goal. But I simply wasn’t meeting them, and it was getting extremely frustrating. So I decided to stop being so hard on myself, and appreciate myself for what I can do. So I went out and bought the first item on the list.

Image

Did I need these? Absolutely not. But I decided that they are going to be my Happy Pants. They reflect a decision I made to appreciate and celebrate myself (wow that sounds incredibly selfish…). When I wear them, I want to remember that. On a different note, I am smack in the middle of the midterms. And I want a bit of time to myself to try and figure some things out. Anyone interested in doing some guest posts for next week? Shoot me an email at astottler@gmail.com.

Thanks guys! I’ll leave you with this-my current phone screensaver.

Admit Weekend

Today marks the start of Admit weekend! That means over 1000 high school seniors are visiting campus to decide if it is a good match. We have 2 staying in our room. I have yet to meet mine (I met my roommate’s), yet her stuff is in my room….

Let’s do a quick recap of yesterday. I began my morning with an almost 4 mile run. I wore my Garmin, which definitely made me push my pace more, although I am still out of shape.  I was like 7 minutes faster than the last time I ran it when I was first recovering.  I did a quick ab circuit, then ate some eggs and yogurt. ImageFor lunch I got a salad at the salad place. That place is crazy expensive! My salad was $12, which I would never pay for a salad, except for the fact that for me it isn’t “real” money. I can se my meal plan dollars that come with my meal plan, which I always have a ton of extra at the end of the quarter. I saved the other half for dinner (they’re HUGE).Image

Southwest salad with salmon and avocado.

I went to yoga last night as well. Yesterday, I discovered something interesting while doing my reading homework. I do a lot better with my reading (more focused) if I do it while doing yoga/stretching. So yes, today I am sore from doing my homework. I am already getting more flexible though, so I’ll take it!

This morning began with an abs circuit which I found here, and Spin. I also wrote up a Spin class for myself, complete with music, to do later this week. GAH I want to teach Spin so badly! I need to get Spin shoes at some point though…

Breakfast was a classic: yogurt with half a muffin and sunflower seed butter. Plus a mango.ImageI was SO tired this morning. I took a long, very disorienting nap after my 9am class. Lately, I’ve been confused over what day it is. Well, in my dream, I was confused about what day it was. And in my dream it was Admit weekend, and a few other events happened that are happening now. SO confusing. Except in my dream the Admits threw a huge party and got arrested. That hasn’t happened yet. There are a few things I am still trying to decide if I dreamt or read in a half-awake state…nonetheless I woke up quite confused. Lunch was out of my microwave: a scramble with egg beaters, the rest of my spinach, and the rest of my garlic and herb laughing cow. I think a grocery trip this weekend is in order. I think I’m going to go home on Sunday. Not gonna lie, I want to use my home gym and go to my abs class on Monday at home. Image

After my afternoon class, I decided to do some yoga in my room, since I couldn’t go to a class today (I had to pick up my Admits). I whipped up a 20 minute playlist and got to work on the floor in my dorm room. It’s weird, all this stretching has made me crave yoga. I was sitting in my morning class and couldn’t think of anything that I wanted to do more than half moon (I was sore).

In Psych, we talked about how whatever environment/state you are in when learning something, you will remember the material more if you are in the same environment/state. Since it is a Psych class, it should be acceptable to start doing yoga during a test to help me remember, right?

Dinner was with Admits at our boring dining hall. ImageIt was SUPER crowded. And not that good. Salad, beets, and veggie pot pie filling over brown rice (hey, it’s healthier than with a biscuit, right??).

Plus lots of snacks today. Probably too many. It’s nearly impossible for me to practice intuitive eating if I’ve eaten anything sweet. I simply cannot detect the signal, which as a future nutrition scientist, is super interesting to me.

Warning: I am about to nerd-out.

My hypothesis is that this is related to the fact that fructose (a component of sugar) does not inhibit the hunger hormones when you eat it, meaning it doesn’t make you less hungry. Additionally, leptin is not stimulated, which is the hormone that tells you you are full. This is super interesting to me because this was an effect I’ve read about numerous times, but never really thought about how it felt in myself. I’m totally going out on a limb here, but the feeling I get to simply stop eating (before I even get the feeling of fullness), which is super subtle, by the way, is actually my leptin signal. Cool, right??

Ok, sorry for that tangent! I’ll keep you guys updated on my efforts to convince the Admits to come here!

Phew!

Sorry I didn’t post yesterday guys, I swear I was going to! Yesterday began with a trip to the doctors so they could steal my blood for blood tests. Well, the good news is my liver functions are good, meaning I’m all healthy again! The bad news? Getting blood drawn is becoming progressively more traumatic. Apparently my veins are really hard to find so it’s always an interesting experience. I still have bruises from where they drew blood in the ER a month ago for my mono test. Shiver. Sadly, yesterday’s experience was maybe the best one I’ve had. And it still involved holes in 2 arms. But the last 2 times I’ve gotten blood drawn, I’ve started shaking like crazy. I hope it will be a looong time before I have to get blood stolen drawn again.

After my fun experience at the doctor’s, we headed next door to a shopping center (which is right across the street from school) to grab some lunch (I had to fast for my tests) and to explore the center, since I’ve basically driven by it a million times but never really gone in. My mom and I searched for a place to eat, and as soon as I saw a sign advertising green juice in the window, I decided that was the place. It was a cafe called Calafia. The only thing was as soon as I walked in the door, something fell on my head, and I quickly brushed it off, only to realize that it was a yellow jacket. I’m allergic to bee stings, so yeah that was pretty terrifying. More shaking. Yayyyy. I decided we’d be better off eating at an outside table!

Everything on the menu looked sooo good, but I decided on a special, which was some type of rockfish tostada. It was really tasty! I was worried it would be too spicy, but not at all! Just to be safe, I ordered a soy chocolate smoothie 🙂ImageImageThe tostada had so many flavors; the warm and spicy fish, the tangy cabbage, and the hidden black beans (which it took me a while to find, they were under the tortilla!)

After lunch, we walked around the center to see what was there. At the bookstore, I picked up some mysteries. The one I’m reading now I admit I bought just because it has an adorable kitten on the front. Hey, I’m a sucker for cute kitties. Has anyone else noticed there is a definite trend between mysteries and food/cats? So many mystery series are food or cat themed. Gahh I’m already perfectly fitting the demographic, and I’m only a teenager! (Crazy cat lady anyone??) Either way, I’m enjoying the book because it is set around where I live, and the main characters all went to my college, so I recognize a ton of the places and such!

Another stop? Sur la Table. Anyone been there? It’s a cooking supply store that has all kinds of adorable cooking tools you never realized you needed. I should have snapped a picture of some of the things we bought. Kitty measuring spoons? Yes please! Another highlight purchase? A new hand mixer! I’ve been begging my mom to buy one for a while now. We’ve had ours for as long as I can remember (definitely over 10 years) and it’s gotten soooo rickety that whenever I use it, I feel like the beaters are just going to come flying off!

The other notable stop of the day was Kara’s cupcakes. I’ve been dying for cake lately, and I’ve been thinking about carrot cake….so that happened. I couldn’t decide what to get, so I ended up with a salted caramel (filled) chocolate cupcake….Imageand a mini carrot cake cupcake!ImageAs it turns out, I like chocolate cupcakes way better with vanilla frosting than with chocolate frosting, and since that little mini cupcake had so much, he was willing to share with the chocolate cupcake. Yum! Craving=satisfied. I spent the rest of the afternoon reading my new book, and then for dinner, we had a surprise visit from my sister, so Thai food happened. I had some yellow vegetable curry, green beans, and chicken with peanut sauce.ImageSorry it is so messy, I accidentally dumped half of the sauce onto my plate…whoops.ImageFor dessert, I had a Protein Brownie for One from Fitcupcaker. I could tell it WOULD have been delicious, but I cooked it a little too long. If I had left it gooey, it would have been sooo good, but I cooked it until it was kind of tough….Never fear! There is always plan B! I had been meaning to blend up some frozen bananas with cocoa powder to just be in the freezer if I ever wanted instant soft serve, so I blended that up last night with a splash of coconut milk. I ended up stirring in the cocoa powder by hand because I didn’t think it would blend in very well. The result? (Excuse the re-used mug)ImageI swear this was more delicious than the photo demonstrates! I topped my banana soft serve with peanut butter and warm fudge sauce. SO GOOD. SOSOSOSO GOOD.

Now onto today! I grabbed a quick breakfast of a small mango and half a banana with peanut butter on my way to yoga! Since I’m home, I get to go to all my favorite classes at the gym! I loved the class! However, I’m pretty weak and inflexible. As it turns out, sitting in bed for 3-4 weeks doesn’t lend itself to fitness. Who knew? My abs are especially weak. Since the exertion of as much as sitting up in bed was enough ab exercise to send me into a coughing fit, let’s just say that my abs were not getting a ton of work. But hey, the only positive about being horribly out of shape is I get a way better workout from a lot less, right?

I stopped at Whole Foods afterwards to get some more mangos. Since the 7 that we had already were not enough. But none of the ones we had were ripe, and I’m not patient. I ended up getting new chocolate protein powder. Whole Foods brand was like half as expensive as the other brands for the same amount! Score! I also picked up some protein bars and such for school that don’t have nuts 🙁 Plus, since I had a fairly light breakfast and it was around 11, AND I was tired of seeing hot delicious breakfast foods there and not trying them, I grabbed a snack. I got a little baked pancake, a little creme brulee french toast, and some breakfast fruit crisp. The crisp was my favorite, it wasn’t too sweet! It had “seasonal fruits,” which turned out to be pineapple and strawberries! So good! I didn’t get any pictures, I somehow managed to leave my phone in the car….When does that ever happen?

Today consisted of running errands/me shopping. First was Old Navy. I am in search of workout capris, but they didn’t have the ones I wanted in my size. I found a sweater and cute yoga/workout top though! Then we hit up Sports Authority (it’s next door) to look at workout clothes (which, if you haven’t noticed, I love doing. Nike shorts? LOVE.). I got a pair of capris and some running socks to try, which are supposed to prevent blisters. We’ll see about that! At this point, it was after lunch, so we met up with my dad at the cafe at his work. I ordered a veggie wrap, which had cream cheese, pesto, veggies, and avocado. Not gonna lie, I got it for the avocado. What’s new, right?ImageMy last errand of the day was Target. I found one of those infinity scarves (the loop ones) and some sunglasses.ImageCan you say springtime? Sidenote: I always thought the first day of spring was the 21st of March. But this year apparently it was the 20th. I’m not sure why this really bothers me but it does. This is not what I ordered! I like my seasons to come on schedule!

I found a couple of other fun clothing items as well. Afterwards, my mom needed some garden things from a garden type store, but I was pretty beat at this point so I stayed in the car. My energy levels are definitely not 100%! By the time we got home, I only had a little time to recoup. I took the best 15 minute nap ever. Sometimes you just need a quick pick-me-up. Where was I off to? I was getting a pedicure! I guess my mom decided it was our treat for making it through the past few weeks. I almost always paint my toenails silver, and today was no different. Note: I hate having my fingernails painted! It drives me crazy for some reason! And I am bad at repainting my toenails. As in I leave the nail polish on for months….It was a nice relaxing experience though.

Dinner was leftover turkey burgers, mine in a beautiful lettuce leaf. More homemade ketchup!ImagePlus some broccoli, and chips/veggies and salsa/guacamole. Mango and regular salsa! The guac was made with a mix, but I added some nutritional yeast (which I got today!) for some extra B vitamins, which are supposed to help with Mono recovery. I had a mango after dinner (BEST. FRUIT. EVER.), and a taste of another new purchase, kefir. ImageThis is my first time trying kefir. It tastes like a strong, liquid yogurt. As it suggests, I think it WOULD be really good poured over cereal or granola. I’ve been pretty serious about trying to get my Probiotics in after the million anti-biotics that I had to take while I was sick.

Well, that was my day. I’m pooped. But heyy, I’m still blogging, right? All I have planned for tomorrow is a run, so we’ll see what the day holds. Also, shout out to Miranda for the Under 21 Club! Check it out!

under21bloggerbadge1.jpgHave a great night!

What are your ideal spring break plans?

Getting to Know Me

Hey guys! How was your St. Patrick’s Day? Lots of green food I hope! I began my morning by going to the Farmer’s market with my class (our end of quarter field trip). We bought all kinds of delicious, university paid for food. Gotta love this school! Of course the Farmer’s market had all kinds of wonderful things. They had the most amazing looking avocados, although I didn’t buy any. I will definitely have to go back more this spring! After getting back on campus, we had a feast. It was awesome. I cannot wait for peach season though. I sampled all kinds of citrus, which was great, and I enjoyed it, but nothing compares to fresh peaches and nectarines. Dinner was quite festive last night. My mom made corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots. Since I don’t eat red meat, I had some rotisserie chicken. Corned beef is one of the only red meat products I miss. Also, I don’t know why my family only eats cabbage once a year; we all love it!ImageI topped my chicken with pesto. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t do that just because it is green. HOWEVER. Notice that little red sauce in the upper right corner? Guess what that is? Homemade ketchup! I LOVE ketchup, and I eat it with a lot of types of meat. So if I want to do any type of Whole30, I need some ketchup without sugar, which is nonexistent at the store. I used this recipe from Spoonful of Sugar Free. I love Alex’s blog; I am always looking for delicious recipes without sugar! I liked this recipe, and my dad loved it. In the future, I might try it with a little less vinegar, just to see what it is like. It’s a winner though!

After dinner I made a smoothie.ImageBanana, coconut milk, cocoa powder, and a touch (and I mean a touch) or mint extract. I learned my lesson! it was just enough mint to not really taste minty, but to be refreshing. I’ll take it!

Before I get to anything from today, I just wanted to address some blog issues. I wanted to apologize for the slightly (ok sometimes a lot) depressing/negative nature of my posts as of late. This whole sickness thing can get me pretty down, but I swear I’m normally a super happy person! I want this blog to be a fun place, without negativity. And this blog will become a fitness blog again soon, I promise! I’m planning on some normal exercise this week, and boy, I cannot wait! I also wanted to clarify why I’m going to attempt a semi-Whole30. I figure it is a good way to get more nutritious foods into my diet, which is super important for me to get to feeling 100% faster. Plus, my liver function is kind of off so reducing sugar is pretty important! Also, I think it will be a fun way to try new recipes and experiment with new flavors. Although eating Paleo is generally pretty meaty, and things should get interesting when my vegetarian sister comes home! The current plan is to try this strict Paleo thing for 5 days, and then reevaluate this Friday night where I want to go from there. And given the possibility of a gluten sensitivity, I don’t need anything else putting me to sleep! With that in mind, here’s today’s lunch (brunch?).ImageLeftover chicken, potatoes, cabbage, and carrots. Plus mashed avocado and mango salsa for the chicken. The avocado took some of the kick out of the salsa, which was a relief! I also ate a mango, which I WAS planning on photographing….

Ok, now to the meat of the post. I’m sure a lot of you guys have been seeing stuff about the Liebster Award going around, and since Brittany gave me a shout out, I figured I’d take this opportunity to let you guys get to know me a bit better. I mean, I talk a lot about my life, but not really about myself. I’ve never really done any surveys or anything, so hey, why not!

Random Facts About Me

1. I love to read, but I seriously cannot read any books during the school year. It’s fine for a few chapters, but as soon as the book gets exciting, I CANNOT put it down. Note: Reading an entire book on your phone in a day is a bad idea. You will likely walk around in a daze and squint a lot.

2. I really want to study abroad, probably in Chile. I loved studying Spanish in high school (and I love Spanish music), so it would be awesome to improve my Spanish. Plus, they have penguins. And who doesn’t love penguins?

3. I love avocados. I sprouted 2 avocados pits almost a year ago (my babies are growing up!) and now I have 2 beautiful avocado plants!ImageImageThey’re much bigger now, but I don’t really have any recent pictures. And they’re not too photogenic right now. After much stress (as any concerned parent would feel), I learned that in cooler climates avocados drop their leaves in winter. PHEW. But they are my babies and they live in my dorm, weather permitting (one wasn’t getting enough sun inside).

4. I hate talking about myself. Hence why I probably have not done any surveys yet. But I have a blog….hmmm….

5. One of the main reasons I wanted my own healthy living blog was because the whole community seemed so awesome, and I wanted to be part of it.

6. My dad reads every single one of my posts, usually right when I post it. WHich begs the question, how often does he check…?

7. I am the hugest Giants fan. I watched about half the playoffs last year on my phone between classes. #dedicationImage

8.I love celebrating holidays and going all out. I love traditions. And I am dying to do a Turkey Trot.ImageImageImage

9. That being said, I take Thanksgiving very seriously, and try to do everything to maximize food intake (morning run, tapering meals in the days up to, wearing expandable clothes).

10. Last year I gave myself frostbite on my foot. In the middle of spring. In California. Apparently I left the ice on a LITTLE too long. I’ll spare you guys the pictures (you’re welcome). It was really embarrassing to not be able to practice (softball) because of this. In 70 degree weather.

11. Hair is my 4th greatest fear. All my friends know this. I absolutely CANNOT STAND those hairs that seems to be left everywhere from shedding. This is possibly the worst part about living in a dorm. Black hairs in the shower (shiver).

Questions that I am stealing from Brittany:

1. What’s your favorite movie of all time?

I haven’t really seen too many movies lately, so I have no idea what modern-ish movie. I mainly watch TV shows (detective ones mostly!), so I’m going to take the Disney cop-out and say Aristocats.  Or Sleeping Beauty (hello, Princess Aurora!).

2. What do you do as soon as you walk in the door after work/school?

In theory, this should be take a nap. But let’s be honest. It’s all about the food.

3. Do you put your toothbrush in a drawer or in a toothbrush holder?

A drawer. But I don’t know that I like this situation. It doesn’t seem very sanitary….(I guess I forgot to mention that I’m a bit of a germophobe!)

4. What vegetable do you love? Hate?

I love brussels sprouts. And avocados. And sweet potatoes. I find it amazing that a lot of people didn’t have veggies that they hated. Don’t get me wrong, I love veggies. But I hate cucumbers. And green peppers. I’m coming around on red peppers, but it will be a while before they fall into the “love” category.

5. What is your favorite go- to outfit for a saturday?

Definitely shorts and a T-shirt. Let’s be honest. I’m not going anywhere interesting.

 6. Whats your favorite workout?

Weight lifting. By far. I cannot wait to get started again!

7. What does your Tupperwear drawer look like?

At home, in theory it is organized, but more realistically, an avalanche. At school? Yeesh. Let’s just say I’m not great about doing dishes regularly. I’ve learned about some interesting specimen as a result….

8. If you had to chose one thing you could not live without, what would that be?

Definitely cats. And yet I don’t have them at school….Image

9. What’s your favorite thing to order while eating out?

Anything with avocado

10. What is the temperature outside when you are the happiest?

Probably 70-80. I’m the biggest wimp in the cold, but I can handle heat pretty well. I always thought my internal body temperature has changed as the result of frying my brains out at softball fields in the summer for however many years (117 in Las Vegas, seriously??).

11. If you could pick anywhere in the world to be right now, where would that be and what would you be doing?

I would be in Chile watching the penguins.

As for the nominations…I feel like a ton of them have already been going around, and to be perfectly honest, I have no idea how many followers people have and I would hate to offend anyone! SO let’s have this post be just for fun!

Tell me something about yourself!
